If only re-doing their team were this easy.
The Jacksonville Jaguars just unveiled their new logo. Taa-daaa! I guess when your team is as bad as the Jags, you might as well improve what you can.
From a design standpoint, the new spots are spot on, (although less would've been better). It's been said the previous versions' spots looked like cheetos. I can't not see that now. The ear, chin and teeth are better.
But I miss the solid, consistent outline around the entire mark from before. The new head looks flat on top with the line weight half the thickness of the bottom. Something doesn't seem right. And I prefer the whiskers from before. I thought they gave it a nice movement that this one lacks. Overall the old logo had a nice, solid shape to it. It just felt like a logo, you know? This one feels more like an illustration.
There's a lot of bad logos out there. Personally, I wouldn't have targeted this one for an update. It just get's an "'eh" from me. In other words, perfect for the Jaguars. The real question is: Will the fans in L.A. like it?

Homeschooled kids school opponents on the court.
Ever heard of the Oetjen boys? If not, you will soon. Word is getting around on these talented young players for Horizon Christian. Horizon is an northeastside school that allows homeschooled kids to play on their team.
Caleb, (middle, or the non-twin) is a 6 foot Senior who averages 24 ppg and who was the 3rd leading scorer in Indiana last year. Caleb's getting a lot of looks from colleges recently.
6' 2" twins Noah and Josiah are in the 9th grade. I'm pretty sure that's Noah on the left, and Josiah on the right. They do for Caleb what the Davis boys (Dale and Antonio) did for Reggie.
These guys are easy to root for on and off the court. They're competitive in everything they do, including ping pong. (For the recored, I've beaten all of them at least once). Read about them in the latest issue of VYPE magazine, page 12.
